Well, let me start by saying that if I went out more this would never be an option. I revert to this online dating because of the ease of being able to meet people and hopefully get to know them before being subjected to a couple hours of bad company.
Now, I have been on and off this site for a few years - it is a major site and I am sure most have heard of it 'Plenty of Fish' which is definitely a silly name but what can you do, it is free which is a huge plus for me.
Now, they are becoming a little greedy by charging for some stupid features. I would never pay to go on a dating site. Period.
Here is my overall opinion of this site, it is a test of my patience. Now I know the downside to dating online is that people typically tend to be more 'forward' behind a computer then they are in person so that is a great challenge. So many people let their ugly show on this site, they celebrate their worse personality flaws and really should be ashamed.
Most of the people are not looking for a mate but they are shopping, shopping like you would for clothing or jewelry. Of course I agree physical appearance is very important but what makes this hard is that some people will at least look and talk to someone they consider marginally out of their standard but most of these people think they are God's gift and want perfection they become disappointed when they cannot find it on line.
Online is not where the most attractive, perfect people hang out. Sorry to disappoint.
Here are some pointers for the men on Plenty of fish:
1- Stop talking about women and complaining in your 'about me' section. No one cares that you think every girl you dated is a psycho and if the women are smart they will realize the problem is probably you.
2- Put your clothes on. No, really. I am sure you are proud that you work out and feel good about your body, but we can tell you work out through clothes, really it is apparent so you don't need to strip down. You will not find a soul mate this way, and we both know what you will attract. If you attract someone asking for a picture of your man meat then don't complain about it on your profile. You asked for it. Also if a 'good girl' looks at your pics you will likely not hear from her.
3- If someone 'Favorites' you, don't complain about it. Most women want the man to make the first move, so we favorite you, kind of like we would stare or give you the eye in a bar to let you know we are somewhat interested. Just go with it, stop bitching about it like a toddler.
4- Try and read what you wrote prior to publishing it. The red line under a word means it is misspelled. Now, I am not perfect when it comes to spelling or punctuation but I let the computer help me there and so should you. Also if you read it and think you sound 'cool' you are probably coming off as a D-Bag to the women who read it.
5- Self portraits where you act like you are off in thought are TACKY. I cannot express this enough, when you take a picture of yourself in the car, on your couch or in your bed and act like you are doing something else and not taking your picture is so ridiculous and kind of pathetic. The worse is when you act like your either sleeping or driving. Stop it. Look at the damn camera and smile. Don't put your angry face on, it looks dumb.
6- Pictures where you white out kids faces or ex girl friends faces are also a no no. It looks horrible, either crop it or take a picture of yourself. Most of the time these pictures are you from years ago anyway so stop being deceitful.
7- It is never okay to think you are a catch because you don't have kids. It is actually offensive to anyone who is a parent and comes by your profile. You are happy to not have kids, great but it lacks class to scream it all over your dating web page. It also shows a certain amount of ignorance.
8- Never, ever assume it is okay to email a woman and ask her anything questionable like if she is 'horny' or if she has ever done a threesome, or if she likes oral sex or masturbation. Seriously did you just discover your penis? Haven't you grown past puberty? Who asks women stuff like that? What makes this worse is the men who then try and justify it. They say they just want an adult conversation, or they are just 'honest'. Don't hide your ignorance behind a redeeming quality such as honesty. Your a pig, we all know most men are but have some common sense, and a little respect and do not actually let your pig squeal at every woman you talk to online. If the woman does not have naked pictures up, and nothing on her page indicating that is okay then seriously keep it to yourself otherwise you will never ever find out the answers.
Now, that is as far as I am going to go with this and I could on for much longer but I will stop here. These are the things I see on that site about 90% of the time. I do not have any hopes of finding a normal person on here but if you are out there looking around, this site will take an exercise in patience. Yes it is free but the quality of people is very similar to dating straight off Craigslist.
My scale of 1-10 this site for ease of use gets a 8.5 and for quality of the members gets a 3.
I don't know if online dating ever pans out but because I am an optimist I keep giving it a shot every so often.

Pizza Como/ 50 Yard line
I ordered from here recently as I have been for years and thought this may be an ideal place to review since I have been a customer for several years.
Now, being as how I have been a customer for a long time you may believe I love this place but this is case of a love hate relationship.
Now, being as how I have been a customer for a long time you may believe I love this place but this is case of a love hate relationship.
I like their food when they get my order right, aside from the one time I got hair in my cheesesteak.
Why I eat here is simple, they make my favorite chicken cheesesteak in the area and (this is the biggie) they have waffle fries that are seasoned - somewhat like a curly fry is and that is a must for me with my cheese steak. I cannot stand plan fries.
Now, I prefer the fries without cheese but they typically put melted cheese on them which makes them soggy , I always order them without the cheese - do I always get them that way? No.
I have enjoyed just about everything I order from here, but my favorite is the chicken cheese steak and waffle fries.
Now the downside - plain and simple, the employees. They are nice and friendly enough I suppose but are they efficient? No, not by a long shot. Back in the day they were not horrible but I think business is very good for them judging by the growth and constant packed miniature parking lot ( since I never eat there and just need to pick up food I started parking behind them in McDonalds and walking around which makes life so much easier) so they have to staff up, they seem to have more people behind the counter then they need. Someone needs to tell them - Quality over Quantity is a motto they need to practice. They need just a couple Quality employees instead of the mob of morons they have there. I think the delivery guys answer the calls or are the ones to take your order when you want delivery that might explain the huge issues every single time I call in to place and order. Such as they never update my phone number, I always have to give them a number from 4 years ago other wise I have to start from scratch and give them my address which I tried once and they put it in wrong and it took me over a hour to get my food which then was cold in addition to being incorrect.
So, you see my frustration. I love this place but they need to pull it together, oh and have the cooks wear hair nets. seriously.
On my scale of 1-10 with 10 being amazing, I give them (overall ) a 7.5 if they got people who work there that can take an order right and give you what you asked for the way you asked for it then they would be a 9.

The Tale of Two Lowe's
I went to both Lowe's this past week, the one on 8th ave/Martin court and the one in Whitehall off Macarthur road. What a huge difference.
Lets get the bad out of the way first, the Lowe's in Whitehall does not have that bright airy feel that the one in Bethlehem has, when you walk in there are things right in front of your face and unless you shop their regularly you will have a tough time navigating this place on a first visit. The employees there are lacking as well, All of them just walked past me, no greeting and no offer of assistance.
I had to ask two people for help and they were Okay then but again, I had to approach them.
Prices at lowe's are the same I would assume from store to store, so I won't go into that but I will say that I prefer Lowe's over Home depot any day.
I find Home depot boring, their is no curb appeal there is no fun shopping there. It is dark, hard to find my way around and the people are average. No reason to shop there.
The Lowe's on 8th ave in Bethlehem is a different story, granted I have run into the occasional ignorant employee but when you walk in, it is very open and clean, well organized and there is usually a greeter at the front offering to help you and they usually seem very interested in helping, not like they are being forced to stand there and they hate their job.
I like the flow of the store, I am not a contractor so I am not already in the know when it comes to what would be in plumbing or in tools etc - but I can navigate this store very well. Also they have little buzzers around for assistance, and I never wait more then a minute for someone to assist me once I push the button.
I redid most of my house and shopped at Lowe's on 8th ave, I bought carpet which I am very happy with, pergo, tiles, and a ton of other items.
The only thing I did not like was the fee you pay upfront to have someone come out and measure, but I understand that they are a contractor so they don't want to waste gas coming out if you are not buying.
In the end their price was the best so I went with them so that fee came off my final bill.
They helped me load my truck, they also honor the specials that Home Depot offer such as deferred interest specials.
I used a coupon I got online for signing up for emails which took a big chunk off that bill.
I would rate the Lowe's in Whitehall a 6 out of 10
and I would rate the Bethlehem Lowe's a 9 out of 10.
I have a very solid background in customer service and sales, I have trained and mentored people so I know what is good customer service and what is sub par and I refuse to tolerate sub par service. I do not cause a scene but I make a mental note and I share my opinion freely for all the world to see, sometimes all you get is that first impression and in this economy people need to make the best of that one opportunity.
Lowe's in Bethlehem on 8th ave and Martin Court is a store that never disappoints, so I congratulate them on their consistent good work.

Best Buy, Whitehall
I am starting today with the stores I have visited in the last couple of days. I stopped in Best buy on my way home this weekend and was not shocked that much had not changed there since I visited in the past.
Let me start by saying, their employees are lacking, they come off very 'fake friendly'.
I will elaborate, I was walking through the store just killing some time and during that time I was approached by a sales person who was very smiley and attempted to be friendly until I mentioned I was not looking for any thing specific then the smile dropped right off his face and he walked away onto the next victim/potential sale.
Visiting their music and movie section was overwhelming to say the least. As I attempted to browse, I became very aware of the lack of organization in this area of the store. Everything was sloppy, there were stashes of misplaced items all over this section. Needless to say, I did not stay in that area long.
I ended up picking up a movie from the bin and going to check out, the cashier was rude and unmotivated. She did not appear to like her job at all, I found myself saying Thank you to her instead of the other way around, and I was the customer.
On my way out I had to go through security similar to the airport, after clearly just paying for something right where they can see I just came away from the register I was then asked to wait while they checked the man in front of me, then took a peek in my bag and verified my receipt. It was one movie, I found that to be a bit much. This store must have a lot of theft, and here is a helpful hint to the security at best buy - Instead of checking in the bag I just walked away from the register with and looking at the receipt of what I paid for, why don't you focus on the people taking stuff they did not pay for and watch your surveillance monitors. It seems a little bit of a waste to have someone checking the bag that the cashier just handed me, do you think she slipped me a few stacks of cash? or perhaps you think I walked up 'fake paid' and stuffed my bag? What sense does that make to check my bag of items I paid for? I could see if I set an alarm off but just to get out the door I had to be searched. Ridiculous.
Your parking lot is horrid as well, very frustrating layout and hard to pull out of a spot.
On a scale of 1-10 I would give this store a 4.5
They need a major overhaul, you have employees who take themselves too serious, clusters of teenage employees gossiping in corners, management walking around with a look similar to a military guard, and security is focusing all their energy on the wrong things. You need to organize your smaller products better, the movie and music section should be easy in and easy out, not intimidating and what would appear to be something that would take me hours to find one music cd, also movies that were on displays had no prices. Very frustrating.
The line and waiting to ask a question around the Best Buy mobile area was way too long and several people just walked away as did I, so you need to really step back and look at your store as a customer.
Work on your customer experience, not your sales or theft so much. Organize your store, people like clean and easy to find products and genuinely friendly helpful people.
