Best Buy, Whitehall

I am starting today with the stores I have visited in the last couple of days. I stopped in Best buy on my way home this weekend and was not shocked that much had not changed there since I visited in the past.
Let me start by saying, their employees are lacking, they come off very 'fake friendly'.
I will elaborate, I was walking through the store just killing some time and during that time I was approached by a sales person who was very smiley and attempted to be friendly until I mentioned I was not looking for any thing specific then the smile dropped right off his face and he walked away onto the next victim/potential sale.
Visiting their music and movie section was overwhelming to say the least. As I attempted to browse, I became very aware of the lack of organization in this area of the store. Everything was sloppy, there were stashes of misplaced items all over this section. Needless to say, I did not stay in that area long.
I ended up picking up a movie from the bin and going to check out, the cashier was rude and unmotivated. She did not appear to like her job at all, I found myself saying Thank you to her instead of the other way around, and I was the customer.
On my way out I had to go through security similar to the airport, after clearly just paying for something right where they can see I just came away from the register I was then asked to wait while they checked the man in front of me, then took a peek in my bag and verified my receipt. It was one movie, I found that to be a bit much. This store must have a lot of theft, and here is a helpful hint to the security at best buy - Instead of checking in the bag I just walked away from the register with and looking at the receipt of what I paid for, why don't you focus on the people taking stuff they did not pay for and watch your surveillance monitors. It seems a little bit of a waste to have someone checking the bag that the cashier just handed me, do you think she slipped me a few stacks of cash? or perhaps you think I walked up 'fake paid' and stuffed my bag? What sense does that make to check my bag of items I paid for?  I could see if I set an alarm off but just to get out the door I had to be searched. Ridiculous.
Your parking lot is horrid as well, very frustrating layout and hard to pull out of a spot.
On a scale of 1-10 I would give this store a 4.5
They need a major overhaul, you have employees who take themselves too serious, clusters of teenage employees gossiping in corners, management walking around with a look similar to a military guard, and security is focusing all their energy on the wrong things. You need to organize your smaller products better, the movie and music section should be easy in and easy out, not intimidating and what would appear to be something that would take me hours to find one music cd, also movies that were on displays had no prices. Very frustrating.
The line and waiting to ask a question around the Best Buy mobile area was way too long and several people just walked away as did I, so you need to really step back and look at your store as a customer.
Work on your customer experience, not your sales or theft so much. Organize your store, people like clean and easy to find products and genuinely friendly helpful people.
